 The Corporate Compliance Officer has principal authority and responsibility for the development, implementation, oversight, and evaluation of all aspects of CCI Health & Wellness Services' Compliance Program. The Compliance Officer is charged with reducing CCI's vulnerability to fraud, abuse and waste and is authorized to investigate all instances of suspected illegal or unethical conduct.  Upon obtaining appropriate authorization and consistent with budget constraints, the Compliance Officer may seek the advice of qualified legal counsel and hire outside investigators and/or consultants.

 In addition, this position, in collaboration with the operational, medical, dental and behavioral health leadership is responsible for ensuring adherence to licensing standards, outcome measures and the provision of high quality services to all services areas within CCI.  In holding such authority, the Compliance Officer is assured direct access to CCI's Chief Executive Officer.  This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.



  • Overseeing and monitoring the development and implementation of CCI's Compliance Program through refinement of a Compliance Plan, policies and procedures (including the Core Standards of Conduct) and an annual compliance action plan.
  • Managing and monitoring the incident reporting platform to include outlining trends and mitigating risk.
  • Identifying high risk areas through risk assessments and other means.
  • Identifying methods to reduce CCI's vulnerability to fraud and abuse, such as conducting periodic audits, developing effective lines of communication on compliance issues, and preparing written standards and procedures.
  • Periodically revising the Compliance Program and compliance policies and procedures in light of changes in the needs of CCI and changes in the law and/or in the standards and procedures of government.
  • Suggesting policies related to compliance to CCI leadership and developing procedures implementing the policies approved by the Board of Directors.
  • Developing, coordinating, and implementing a training program that focuses on the components of the Compliance Program and seeks to ensure that all Individuals affiliated with CCI (e., board members, employees, contractors, vendors, agents and volunteers) are knowledgeable of, and comply with, pertinent federal and state standards and CCI's Compliance Program, including the Compliance Plan, policies and procedures (including the Core Standards of Conduct).
  • Receiving reports or allegations of unethical or improper conduct or business practices, and responding to such reports, including by conducting investigations independently or in coordination with qualified legal counsel, or by delegating the responsibility for conducting an investigation to other staff or to a qualified third party, and implementing and monitoring appropriate corrective action and subsequent compliance.
  • Coordinating with Human Resources to ensure the consistent and fair application of disciplinary action, when applicable.
  • Reporting information on the activities of the Compliance Program to the COO on a regular basis.
  • Responding to government investigations and queries as directed by the CEO or COO.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensures all performance improvement activities are managed and performed according to regulatory and accreditation standards, corporate policies, and related measures.
  • Demonstrates competency in practice and knowledge of current standards of practice. Maintains credentials and performs current practice expectations within established guidelines.


  • Bachelor's degree; Masters degree preferred
  • 4 or more years of experience in Corporate Compliance
  • 2 or more years' experience in health care setting and/or FQHC
  • Working knowledge of process improvement methodology, coding/reimbursement systems and laws
  • Demonstrated Leadership and Training ability
