Position Summary:

 The Reproductive Health Programs Coordinator, under the direction of the Clinical Program Manager, is responsible for coordinating the ongoing development, training, implementation, and tracking of family planning and prenatal care services at CCI Health & Wellness Services health center locations. The Reproductive Health Programs Coordinator will work to support, and act as a liaison between, health center staff and CCI Health & Wellness Services leadership to ensure that all milestones and outcomes are being tracked and reached in compliance with internal standards, and external funding and accreditation bodies' requirements.

KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Family Planning

 

  • Create systems to both implement and monitor integration of Title X family planning services at all full time CCI health center locations in accordance with Title X regulations and national best practices.
  • Review and propose updates to current clinical, financial, billing, administrative, data/IT and educational policies and procedure to ensure that family planning services are provided across CCI health center locations in accordance with national best practices and compliance with Title X regulations.
  • Develop, update, and execute trainings for health center staff to ensure that family planning clinical, financial, billing, administrative, data/IT and educational policies and procedures are implemented in a standardized manner across health center locations, in accordance with national best practices and Title X regulations.
  • Collaborate with, and support, Health Center Managers to ensure that all medications, medical supplies, educational materials, referral resources and administrative forms, and survey/tracking tools are available and in adequate supply at initiation of Title X family planning services and on an ongoing basis.
  • Implement the creation and revision of family planning forms, IT policies and reporting in the electronic medical record and practice management system.
  • Review Ahlers, EMR and Practice Management data to ensure quality services in accordance with national best practices and Title X guidelines.
  • Periodically review Office of Population Affairs, Title X, and CDC standards to ensure CCI monitors and conforms to requirements.
  • Ensure proper data collection is undertaken; synthesize data for required reporting; and report to funders in timely manner regarding family planning services.
  • Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing Director and Outreach Coordinator to ensure implementation of family planning education and outreach services in accordance with national best practices and Title X guidelines.
  • Coordinate CCI-LAYC Connections to Contraception program and relevant reporting requirements.
  • Assist with preparing funding reports, and participate in grant activities as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Prenatal

 

  • Create systems to both implement and monitor growth of CCI prenatal program in accordance with internal CCI policies and external grant requirements.
  • Coordinate with prenatal program staff and CCI leadership to develop policies and procedures for the prenatal program to be effectively integrated into CCI services.
  • Engage regularly with prenatal program Health Center Manager, Providers, Nurse Care Coordinator, Community Health Worker (CHW), and Referral Specialist to ensure prenatal policy and procedures are being implemented properly at the site level, and provide assistance as needed.
  • Create systems to collect and analyze key statistics related to health outcomes, biometrics, referrals, and care management to ensure adherence to established prenatal program protocols and benchmarks.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent documentation and collection of prenatal activities.
  • Remain up to date on national and state level policies and standards related to prenatal services and the prevention of infant mortality and other related measures.
  • Prepare trainings and reports, and participate in grant activities as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

 Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Community Health, Social Work, or other related field.

  • Minimum 2 years professional experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural setting.
  • Experience working in a community-based setting for at least 1 to 2 years preferred.
  • Experience in reproductive or maternal and child health setting preferred.
  • Written and oral fluency in Spanish and English preferred.
  • Knowledge of some medical terminology preferred.
